Pair of ornate Louis XV gilt framed mirrors. Reputed 10 Downing St. item.

This pair of mirrors were part of the formal receiving room that decorated Count Johann Caspar von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff’s 10 Downing Street residence. They were moved upon his death with other items to Schwegerhoff, moved to the Droste Museum in Meersburg, Germany in 1948. It was brought to Oregon, USA by Baroness Helene von Bothmer in 1990 and remained in her collection until her death February 23rd 1995. In 1998 the mirrors was brought to Victoria, B.C., Canada by Baron George von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff and his wife Baroness Julie von Bothmer.
