This piece removed from the Budapest Hungarian Bothmer Cathedral 1916-17 before attack on Budapest in 1916-17. Taken to Bothmer Palace where once again it was moved one step before the Russians ceased Bothmer Palace in 1945.It was taken to Schwegerhoff and then on to the safety of Meersburg in southern Germany. Later it was displayed in the Droste Museum until the Baroness Helene von Bothmer moved to the US. Baron von Bothmer brought this painting to Victoria in 1998.
